Bilim kurgu hastasi oldugum icin gozume ilk carpan teknoloji isimli konuyu sectim. Tembel oldugum icin de odevin gitcegi gunun sabahi alelacele yazdim. O kada ugrastim silinip gitmesine kiyamadigim icin burda yayinlama gereksinimi hissettim. Bu dersin birincisinde de 4-5 tane essay yazmistim icinde gerek felsefik gerek eglencelik teoriler falan vardi. Ama o zamanlar blogum yoktu. Buraya copy-paste edeyim de bari kalsin biyerde. Garip teorilerim belki hosunuza gider. Film yorumlama odevlerim de var bu donem, buyuk ihtimal onlari da yayinlarim.

Technology

From the beginning of the time things evolved. Animals became users of tools. Finally, the human race occurred. We are a very young breed so we do not have much evolution that we can tell by only looking. But, we sure have some really evolved tools since we are the most intelligent species on the planet. We developed something called technology. Now, we can use it as a telescope that shows us the whole universe and says that there are approximately 400 billion galaxies in it or we can use it as a communication web around the planet called the internet. There are a lot of kinds of technology that we use like these and they are all evolving as the time passes. But, there can be a problem with that. Technology has advantages and disadvantages for the human race. Technology mostly works as a developing thing. When some people develop a thing that is helpful, sometime later, some other people can develop it to something that is bad for the human race. For example, with the use of nanotechnology we can have atomic energy in use, but also we can have some weapons which are very dangerous for people and harmful for the earth. Some of the people are ready to use them when it is necessary.

People always thought that technology is a good thing no matter what bad things it brings. Because, it is the way of our development in time and there is no stopping that, no turning back and stopping the evolution of humans’ intelligence in the use of tools. It is like a baby’s falling, hurting itself is a bad thing but learning to walk is a great thing. So, if it is our destiny to use technology, then we are going to use it and make it better. Without it life would be boring and more dangerous for humans. We wouldn’t be able to know what other people from a far side of the planet can do or what are other people’s opinions for life this quickly in the lack of the internet. We couldn’t reach the knowledge and therefore we would be so ignorant and sacrifice people for something stupid or senseless. There wouldn’t be any justice and virtue.

There are some people think that technology is a bad thing which always brought bad things to humans as it grows. With the use of cars, earth is getting polluted, global warming has occurred and petroleum wars are happening between countries. With the finding of atomic science, atomic bombs are found and they are increasing the radiation level of earth with their tests and they are threatening us in case of a big war on the earth. With the use of television, some people grew as brainwashed mind slaves who are believing that the life in the television shows are the best life that can be lived. We can say a lot of bad things like these that technology creates.

Third opinion about technology is that it is neither good nor bad. It is just a thing that people can control. If humans are bad, then technology is bad, if humans are good, then technology is good. This is the basic way to describe the third opinion. It is like an advanced version of a bat which is neither good nor bad. If humans use it to collect fruit or to protect themselves then it is good. If they kill each other and harm themselves then it is bad.

What I really think about the goodness of technology is that human can really benefit from what they created. In my opinion, they created technology because they wanted it. I mostly think like the first opinion but also understand the case in the third opinion. Technology is our way of evolution. Just think about how people have found the continent of America and started to grow. With the help of the technology we can spread to other galaxies in the universe. If we can’t do that, it is not different than killing ourselves with the atomic bombs because, our earth is going to die, eventually. People are selfish to say that atomic bombs are threatening the human race because this can happen in our era. They don’t think the time after themselves. Besides, we can not get rid of technology as soon as 30 or 50 years. There will always be some remnants that we can reuse if we want. It is good to live in a world that you can live in a coastline with a lover, growing your own food and hunting animals, swimming, sleeping without technology and job, but it would be boring after sometime and you wouldn’t be able to learn anything other than your experiences. One other theory of mine is that medicines are evolved with the technology we use, so the viruses. If we stop using technology, we won’t be able to survive from evolved version of viruses without the use of those medicines.
